Who are we?

Herbivore is a sustainable lifestyle brand that pays homage to the plants and herbs that mother earth provides us with. In everything Herbivore does we aim to give our customers and our community everything that plants and the earth does: Giving us joy, sustenance, refreshment and beauty.

We champion a love of the wilderness and nature by creating and curating a marriage between practical apparel, craft and foraging classes, art exhibitions and music festivals.

We differ, by offering a wide range of beautifully curated garments, classes and audio-visual experience each centred around mother nature and how we can preserve her best. Throughout the life of Herbivore we aim to provide:

➵ wilderness inspired: garments that pay homage to a different plant, herb, mineral or animal that remove waste and factory excess from the fashion industry.

➵ Wilderness centred classes: In foraging, ceramics, woodwork and more to be decided.

➵ tickets to curated environment centred art exhibitions in the wilderness, championing upcoming artists.

➵ Planet earth focussed: zero waste folk music festivals located in the wilderness.

Plants are abundant and have helped us in many mystical ways. They have fed us for as long as we have existed, they reduce CO2 whilst providing us with oxygen to breathe, they form the basis of the food chain, sustaining the most basic forms of life, so it is important that they take centre stage of our brand

We hope to reconnect with nature, and through reconnecting with nature, we hope to reconnect with ourselves.

Our vision, is to make true sustainability accessible, to those who are barred culturally and economically!

In everything we do, we will pay homage to the Herbs!

Our Mission

➵ To provide stylish and practical apparel that removes material inputs destined for landfills, furnaces and waste: thereby reducing the wastage in the fashion industry.

➵ To provide experience classes, that champion engagement with the outdoors, led by local freelancers, with local knowledge: thereby increasing customers knowledge and engagement with the natural world and supporting the livelihood of freelance workers.

➵ To curate art exhibitions in wild spaces, that champion upcoming and talented artists whose  work reflects our need for the protection of the environment and local cultures and traditions, thereby increasing awareness of beautiful natural spaces, customs and providing a platform for artists to thrive and succeed in their futures.

➵ To curate zero trace music festivals, in locations of great natural beauty, that centre around environmental awareness and creates a folkloric community around it, akin to icon festivals in the 60’s.

➵ We strive, ultimately to be sustainable in all of our production processes, whether that's through using only deadstock and fabric destined to go to waste, using only natural dyes, producing in small batches to avoid over production and wastage or using buttons made of nuts!

Hansel

This little guy is Hansel, our humble mascot. Hansel embodies the essence of Herbivore, calmness, of the earth and generous.

I chose the name Herbivore, as I believe it encapsulated all of the aspects of my personal interest, mother nature, arts, food and animals, whilst giving us a broad platform in which to create interesting and diverse garments and experiences.

The name Herbivore instantly connotes an affinity to the natural world and thus ties perfectly all of the facets of Herbivore's products and experiences.
